Iitutmish , the Sultan of Delhi, was contemporary of Mongol leader Chengiz Khan. In 1221 A.D., there was a danger of expected attack of Chengiz khan on Delhi.
Alauddin Alam Shah who ruled the Sayyid dynasty from 1443 CE to 1451 CE was the last ruler of the Sayyid dynasty. It is believed that Alam Shah’s Wazir, Hamid Khan, invited Bahlol Lodhi to take charge of the army which later founded the Lodhi dynasty.
Ahmad Shah III was succeeded by Muhammad Shah III. He reigned for nearly 20 years. Through his extensive conquests he regained many lost territories, the most famous being his raid on Kanchipuram.
Al Biruni was made court astrologer in Ghazni and he accompanied with Mahmud on his invasions on India. He lived for several years here and is considered to be first Indologist.
