The Battle of Haldighati was a battle fought on 18 June 1576 between cavalry and archers supporting the Rana of Mewar, Maharana Pratap; and the Mughal emperor Akbar’s forces, led by Man Singh I of Amber.
Abul Fazl who was one of the courtiers who were collectively known as Akbar’s Navratnas (or nine jewels). He wrote Ain-i-Akbari and Akbar Nama. He Lead the Mughal imperial army in its wars in Deccan but was murdered by Bir Singh Bundela.
Mubarak Shah was the second ruler of the Sayyid dynasty which ruled the Delhi Sultanate after the fall of the Tughlaq dynasty. He succeeded his father, Khizr Khan to the throne in 1421 CE.
