The Suhrawardi order which was founded by Shihabuddin Suhrawardi accepted the maintenance grants from the Sultans. The Suhrawardi order was established in India by Bahauddin Zakariya. Suhrawardis were active in Punjab and Sindh region.
Some of the activities which were prevalent during the Delhi Sultanate period are as follows: religious persecution, prohibition of public worship and destruction of temples. These was often vigorously enforced by the early Muslim rulers.
Altamgha Jagirs under the Jagirdari system of the Mughals were the lands which were given to Muslim nobles in their family towns or place of birth. In the Jagirdari system involved assignment of revenue of a particular territory to the nobles for their services to the state.
Humayun ruled from 1530 to 1556 A.D. He succeeded his father Babur at the young age of 23. He had to cope up with number of problems left behind by Babur.
