Area Problems
The ratio between the lenght and the breadth of a rectangle is 2 : 1. If breadth is 5 cm less than the length, what will be the parimeter of the rectangle?
Increase in circumference of circle = 5%? Increase in radius is also 5%.Now, increase in area of circle = 2a + (a2/100) %Where, a = increase in radius= 2 x 5 + (5 x 5)/100 % = 10.25%
Let area 100 m2Then, side = 10 m New side = 125 % of 10= (125/100) x 10= 12.5 m New area = 12.5 x 12.5 m2=(12.5)2 sq. m? Increase in area = (12.5)2 - (10)2 m2= 22.5 x 2.5 m2=56.25 m2% Increase = 56.25 %
According to the question,l/[2(l + b)] = 5/18? 10l + 10b = 18l = 10b? l/b = 10/8 = 5/4? l : b = 5 : 4Hence, ratio of length and breadth of a rectangle is 5 : 4
