The Mughal emperor Akbar established a Translation Department. The department was given the task of translating Hindu religious scriptures, such as the Atharvaveda, the Mahabharata, Harivamsa and the Ramayana into Persian.
The Baburnama also known as the Tuzuk-i-Baburi or the Memoirs of Babur is the autobiography of Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur. It constitutes a first-rate account of Babur’s own career and the history of his times.
The Qanun-i Humayuni which is also called Humayun Namah was composed in 1534 CE by Khvandamir who was one of the officials under Humayun’s patronage. The memoir is an eyewitness account of Humayun’s reign.
After Sher Shah Suri conquered malwa from Qadir shah, he appointed Shujaat Khan as the governor. His son, Baz Bahadur, declared himself independent in 1555 CE. Baz Bahadur was the last sultan of Malwa.
