The Tughlaq dynasty was a Muslim dynasty of Turko-Indian origin, which ruled over the Delhi sultanate in medieval India. Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq is considered to be the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty.
The kingdom was divided into different administrative units during the rule of the Vijayanagar empire in southern India which ruled from 1336 CE to 1672 CE. These administrative units were called Mandalams, Nadus, Sthalas, and Gramas.
In the aministartion od Shivaji the Surnavis or Chitnis or Sachiv was the general secretary who also overlooked official correspondence, Sumant/Dabir was the master of ceremonies and foreign affairs, Nyayadish was appointed for Justice and Pandit Rao looked over charities and ecclesiastical affairs.
