The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) with a budgetary outlay of Rs 2,516 crore.
The new sites include three wetlands (Karikili Bird Sanctuary, Pallikaranai Marsh Reserve Forest and Pichavaram Mangrove) in Tamil Nadu, one (Pala wetland) in Mizoram and one wetland (Sakhya Sagar) in Madhya Pradesh.
