Which coalfield in India is currently the largest coal-producing company of India after its production crossed 157 million tonnes in 2021-22?
The Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), in Sambalpur, Odisha has become the leading coal-producing company in India. MCL achieved this feat after its overall coal production crossed 157 million tonnes (MT) in the financial year of 2021-22.
The Union Cabinet has approved an amendment to the FDI Policy to allow FDI up to 20 percent under the "automatic route" in LIC. This comes ahead of IPO of LIC. It must be noted that the FDI limit in the insurance sector is 74 percent. Last year it was raised from 49% to 74%.
