The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has launched a quick response code for its GI-tagged Kashmiri carpet, to preserve the authenticity and genuineness of the hand-knotted carpets. The first-ever consignment of GI-tagged hand-knotted carpets was exported to Germany from New Delhi.
The government has raised the compensation to the kind of victims of Hit and Run Motor accidents to 2 lakh rupees in case of death which is an eight-fold increase from the current cap of 25 thousand rupees.
The biography of the former Attorney General of India, Soli Sorabjee, titled "Soli Sorabjee: Life and Times", is all set to hit stands. The book has been written by advocate and legal scholar Abhinav Chandrachud.
