Taenia is a taxonomic rank of tapeworm (helminth) that includes some main parasites of livestock. There are more than 100 species of Taenia. Taenia is responsible for taeniasis and cysticercosis in humans. They are morphologically characterized by a ribbon like body composed of a series of segments called proglottids.
Pangong Tso Lake is also known as “high grassland lake”. It is a long narrow, deep, endorheic (landlocked) lake situated at a height of more than 14,000 ft in the Himalayas. Approximately 60% of the length of Pangong Lake lies in Tibet. The brackish water of Pangong Lake has very low micro-vegetation. The brackish water of Pangong Lake has very low micro-vegetation. The lake is in the process of being identified as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. It will be a first trans-boundary wetland in South Asia under convention. It is known for its very high phosphate concentrations. Though it’s a saline water lake, it freezes completely during winters.

Anticyclones are generally associated with dry & calm weather. An anti-cyclone is a large atmospheric circulation system with the wind flowing clockwise around it in the Northern Hemisphere, and counter-clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. Anticyclones form from air masses cooling more than their surroundings, which causes the air to contract slightly making the air denser. Since dense air weighs more, the weight of the atmosphere overlying a location increases, causing increased surface air pressure. The air mass cooling that results in an anticyclone forming can be caused by either conduction as the air flows over a relatively cool ocean surface, or through the loss of infrared radiation over land during the fall, winter, or spring when little sunlight is available to warm the air mass.
