Plunge pool or waterfall lake is a deep depression in the stream bed at the base of the waterfall. It is created by the erosional force of the cascading water. They occur at the youthful stage of the river development.
Mertz Glacier is located in the continent of Antarctica. It is about 45 miles long, heavily crevassed glacier in George V Coast of East Antarctica. The extension of this glacier into the Southern Ocean is called the Mertz Glacial Tongue.
