The Government of India has joined hands with the Government of Israel to create 150 'Villages of Excellence' in 12 States of the country, to help farmers to adopt the latest technology in the farm sector.
The Government of India has organised a week-long science exhibition titled 'Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate' as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemoration. It will be conducted simultaneously at 75 locations across the country through a hybrid model.
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has launched the "Jeeva Program" to promote natural farming under its existing watershed and Wadi programs in 11 states.
The scheme has provided benefits to about 11.78 Crore farmers and funds amounting to Rs 1.82 lakh crore in various instalments have been released to the eligible beneficiaries.
