The city of Allahabad was originally known as Prayag in ancient times. The Union Home Ministry has approved the proposal of the Uttar Pradesh Government to rename Allahabad as Prayagraj. Akbar’s grandson Shah Jahan renamed the entire city as Allahabad.
Around 60% of the natural gas produced in India is used for Energy purpose. Out of this, maximum amount is used in Power Generation, followed by Industrial Fuel and LPG use.
