Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has become the first airport in India to launch a first-of-its-kind Vertical Axis Wind Turbine and Solar PV Hybrid (Solar Mill) to explore the potential of using wind power at Mumbai Airport.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister S. M. Krishna, Infosys founder and IT industry veteran N. R. Narayana Murthy, and former badminton player Prakash Padukone have been selected for the 'Kempegowda International Award', instituted earlier this year.
