Andal or Godadevi is the only female among 12 Alvar saints. She was active in 8th century and is credited for great Tamil works Thiruppavai and Nachiar Tirumozhi. A women’s group of South India called Goda Mandali is inspired from Andal. Andal herself is known as a beloved of lord Vishnu.
Shaikh Hasan was another prominent Sufi saint of the Suhrawardi order, who lived during the 16th and 17th centuries in Lahore in present-day Pakistan. Before joining the Suhrawardi order he lived in the ‘company of yogi Gorakhnath.
Saluva Narasimha laid the fondation of Saluva dynasty. Saluva Narasimha was the eldest son o Saluva Gunda. Saluva Gauda was the chief of Chandragiri of the Chittoor district.
