After Sher Shah Suri conquered malwa from Qadir shah, he appointed Shujaat Khan as the governor. His son, Baz Bahadur, declared himself independent in 1555 CE. Baz Bahadur was the last sultan of Malwa.
Tenali Ramakrishna was the author of Panduranga Mahamatyam. He is one of the eight eminent scholars of Telugu known as the ‘Ashta diggajas’ who adorned the court of Krishna Deva Raya.
Tansen also referred to as Tan Sen or Ramtanu, was a prominent figure of Hindustani classical music. He accepted Islam at the hand of great Sufi mystic saint Muhammad Ghaus of Gwalior. It is believed that he could bring rain and fire through singing the ragas Megh Malhar and Deepak respectively.
