Priyanka Mohite, a young woman of 30 from Satara district in Maharashtra, has made India proud by becoming the first Indian woman to climb five peaks above 8000 m.
The fourteenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification was held in New Delhi, and India is the current chair of the organisation.
