Alauddin Kalji introduced an innovative Chehra and Dagh System wherein the Chehra system involved the detailed description of each soldier and Dagh system involved branding of horses. Strict review of the army from time totime was carried out.
Madhav Rao defeated the Nizam of Hyderabad and also compelled Haidar Ali of Mysore to pay tribute. He reasserted control over northern India by defeating the Rohillas and also subjugated the Rajput state and Jat chiefs.
The Tabaqat-i-Nasiri which was compiled in 1260 CE by the author Minhaj-i-Siraj and it gives a complete account of Muhammad of Ghur’s conquest of India and the history of the Delhi Sultanate up to 1260 CE.
