Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma conferred the state's highest civilian award "Assam Baibhav" upon eminent Indian industrialist Ratan Tata at a function held in Taj Wellington Mews in Koloba, Mumbai.
The woman is a leukaemia patient and received a stem cell transplant from someone with natural resistance to the Aids-causing virus. An umbilical cord blood transplant was done, as a part of her cancer treatment.
