Two locations from India, namely the Indian city of Ahmedabad and the Southern state of Kerala, have been featured in TIME magazine's list of the world's greatest places of 2022.
Former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant is expected to be appointed as India's new G20 Sherpa, succeeding Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goel who has been tasked with other pressing duties.
The new sites include three wetlands (Karikili Bird Sanctuary, Pallikaranai Marsh Reserve Forest and Pichavaram Mangrove) in Tamil Nadu, one (Pala wetland) in Mizoram and one wetland (Sakhya Sagar) in Madhya Pradesh.
