The Uttarakhand government has announced a drafting committee to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The state committee is headed by retired SC judge Ranjana Desai and includes retired Delhi HC judge Pramod Kohli, former state chief secretary Shatrughan Singh, Manu Gaur and Surekha Dangwal as members.
