India's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) between Delhi and Meerut, is being designed by global mobility provider Alstom in Hyderabad and manufactured in Savli, Gujarat.
By inducting the two robots into Delhi's firefighting fleets, the firefighters would be able to extinguish fires easily in narrow streets, warehouses, basements, stairs, and forests and enter places like oil and chemical tankers and factories.
According to a recent report on pollution and health published in The Lancet Planetary Health, Air pollution was responsible for 16.7 lakh deaths in India in 2019, which is 17.8% of all deaths in the country that year. This is the largest number of air pollution-related deaths in any country.
It is being celebrated on May 8 to spread awareness about thalassaemia being a blood disorder, myths related to the disease, and to help the patients lead a normal life.
