Delhi Airport or Indira Gandhi International Airport has become the first airport in the country to run entirely on hydro and solar power from this month in a major step toward achieving the ambitious goal of becoming a Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport by 2030.
Space and earth sciences minister Jitendra Singh said India will achieve the unique distinction of simultaneously launching the first human space mission "Gaganyaan" as well as the first manned human ocean mission in 2023.
India has ranked 180 with a score of 18.9, which is the lowest among 180 countries in the index that evaluated the environmental performance of these countries.
