Alligation or Mixture problems
Two bottles contain acid and water in the ratio 2 : 3 and 1 : 2 respectively. These are mixed in the ratio 1 : 3. What is the ratio of acid and water in the new mixture ?
Let initially milk and water in container B is 3x liter and x liter respectively
Now, 3x + (8/9) × 18 ? x ? (1/9) × 18 = 30
3x + 16 ? x ? 2 = 30
x = 8
Initial quantity is container B = 8 (3 + 1) = 32 Liter.
As per figure we can calculate the ration as below.Number of supervisors / Number of labourers = (10 / 100) = 1/10 Total number of labourers = Total no. of supervisors × 10 = 15 × 10 = 150.
