Menar village in Udaipur district, recognized as "Bird Village" after various conservation efforts, has been decided to be notified as to the new wetland of Rajasthan.
The Union Cabinet approved the signing of the MoU between the Department of Biotechnology, the Government of India and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative IAVI, USA.
