Non-Resident Indian Day is observed by the Republic of India on 09 January to mark the favours and contributions made by Non-Resident Indians towards the welfare and development of the nation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav se Swarnim Bharat Ki Ore' programme. The national-level program includes seven yearlong initiatives dedicated to the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by the Brahma Kumaris.
