Every year World Pulses Day is celebrated on 10 February to spread public awareness of the nutritional and environmental benefits of pulses as part of sustainable food production.
India will be sending five indigenous LCA Tejas fighter aircraft to participate in the Cobra Warrior exercise in the United Kingdom. A C-17 aircraft will also go along to provide transport support.
The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, the political activist and poet who was an important figure in India's struggle for independence from colonial rule.
