The Central Government has appointed retired IPS officer of Punjab cadre Iqbal Singh Lalpura as the chairman of the National Commission for Minorities.
Former Chief Minister of Sikkim, BB Gurung, has passed away. He was 99. BB Gurung was the third chief minister of Sikkim and had the shortest term in the history of the Himalayan state.
