India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects worth over Rs 17,500 crore in Haldwani city of the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand.
In a bid to provide relief to poor and middle-class families of the state, the Jharkhand government decided to give relief of Rs 25 per litre on petrol to two-wheelers from January 26, 2022.
After the recommendation by the three-member committee, the Centre has decided to continue with the existing annual income limit of Rs 8 lakh for the identification of the economically weaker sections (EWS).
