International Day for Biological Diversity is being celebrated on 22 May every year to increase awareness and understanding of the issues of biodiversity.
The fourteenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification was held in New Delhi, and India is the current chair of the organisation.
