The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has appointed its senior vice-president Rakesh Anand as Chef de Mission for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The eternal flame of Amar Jawan Jyoti was lit on the Republic Day of 1972 by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in memory of soldiers who laid their lives during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.
