National Geographic Society has installed the "world's highest weather station" on Mount Everest at an altitude of 8,830 metres to automatically measure various meteorological phenomena.
The pilot project envisages training for about 250 beneficiaries of 17 clusters of 17 districts selected from six states of India- Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Odisha.
Money spiders, commonly found in European meadows, have been reported for the first time in India from the Muthanga range of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Wayanad, Kerala.
