Veteran environmentalist Ravi Chopra has resigned as Chairman and member of the Supreme Court's High Powered Committee (HPC) for the Char Dham project.
Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar launched the Central Sector Scheme "SMILE: Support for Marginalised Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprise".
The scheme has provided benefits to about 11.78 Crore farmers and funds amounting to Rs 1.82 lakh crore in various instalments have been released to the eligible beneficiaries.
