As per provisions of the Charter Act of 1833, a Law Commission (for consolidating, codifying and improving Indian laws) was constituted under the Chairmanship of
Waghera rising took place from 18181 to 1820. The Waghera chiefs of Okha Mandal took up arms against the alien rule coupled with the exactions of the Gaekward of Baroda supported by the British government.
