A new statue of football player Cristiano Ronaldo has sparked controversy in Goa, with residents objecting to a Portuguese footballer being honoured instead of a player from India.
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched a Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization in 2014-15, to increase the reach of farm mechanization to small and marginal farmers and to the regions where farm power availability is low.
The GST Council decided to defer the increase in the rate for textiles to 12% from 5%. It has referred the matter to a panel of Ministers, to review Rate Rationalisation.
